The Co-op Community Trust Invests in Education
We invest in education at all levels, from early childhood development, right through junior school and secondary school to adult education. Currently we are investing in the development of a rural farm school where world-class online education is presented to farm worker children. We are also involved in early childhood development centres in Kouga as well as in the Sundays River Valley. We also invest in child education through our winter school program as well as our agricultural awareness program. The Co-op Community Trust supports skills development and is involved in the development of special needs TVET colleges.
Invests in Socio-Economic Development
We are currently investing in the development of the Kouga Agritourism Route. The development of a tourism route provides opportunities for communities to build sustainable tourism related businesses and products. The Co-op Community Trust facilitate opportunities, training and marketing of community tourism products. Current tourism highlights on Kouga Agritourism Route are: Mooihoek Strawberry Farm, Pabala Nature Reserve, Grassridge Dairy Farm, Entabeni Citrus Farm, Khoi-San Community and Kitchen Windows beach restaurant.
