Throughout his career, Helmie showed a deep dedication to the agricultural industry, recognising its importance in the local community of Humansdorp and the larger Kouaga area. His passion for this field was evident in his work at The Co-op, where he consistently demonstrated his knowledge and expertise in commodities, animal feeds, grain storage and logistics in the position of General Manager: Processing Plants.
