The nutritional demands for cattle and sheep can be costly if not managed properly.  The correct nutritional program not only  provides the animal with good health, but ensures a better quality and increased quantity of meat, milk and wool.

Birth to three months of age is the most sensitive stage in rearing a young ruminant as they are subjected to biological, environmental and nutritional stressors.  To improve success during the first  rearing phase, a sound nutritional program for the young animal – whilst still in the womb – is required.  Feeding a good steam-up ration will ensure the best passive immunity from the mother to the young and will give the young ruminant a head start coping with the sensitive first stage of life.
