Our financing department was established for the convenience of our members and clients, to support sustainability and expansion of farming activities.  The aim of credit facilities is to enable the producer to timeously have finance available to acquire inputs for their farming operations.

The following financing options are available:

1. Short-Term Credit (Monthly accounts – Available for Members and Non-members)

The account is payable before or on the last day of the month that follows the month in which the purchase was made. The account is interest-free for this period if paid within terms; 30 days after date of statement.

One of the benefits to members is a discount on payments if received before the 25^th of the account due date.  Our relationship officers and credit controllers will gladly assist with any queries.

2. Medium-Term Production Credit (Members only)

Production facilities are available to finance inputs procured from our branches.  This facility can be used to finance existing operations or expansion of production capacity. The following seasonal accounts are available:

•  Summer Seasonal accounts (1 September to 30 August)
• Winter Seasonal accounts (1 March to 28 February)
• Production accounts (flexible starting date and payable within 12 months)

Agricultural Economist services can assist members with expert advice required to restructure or assess viability of farming businesses to understand repayment ability capacity of operations.

Members’ Loan

Members’ loans to The Co-op provides a cash management solution at favourable rates and flexible notice periods for members.  The Co-op is registered under the National Credit Act (“NCA”) and governed by the National Credit Regulator (“NCR”) – NCRCP 1036 and therefore adheres to the rules and regulations as set out by the Laws of the Republic of South Africa.
